Discover Furvaria’s convention location in Bavaria

Furvaria takes place at the Land-Steakhaus in Marxheim, Bavaria. It’s a relaxed, compact venue that brings the whole convention together in one place. With indoor and outdoor areas, short walking distances, onsite food options, and space to unwind, it offers an easy and welcoming setting for both first-time visitors and returning attendees.

Indoor and outdoor spaces, onsite camping, food, and short walking distances: Welcome to the Land-Steakhaus!

The Remise is where countryside charm meets warm summer atmosphere, offering a bright and spacious home for many of the convention’s main activities. Its ranch-style interior gives the space a distinctive character that sets it pleasantly apart from other event venues, while the large glass fronts including a winter garden and open layout create a welcoming place to gather.

At Furvaria 2026, The Remise is home to the Main Stage, nightly Furdances and the Arcade. With our food corner and bar located right inside, it is one of the central hubs of the convention.

The outdoor areas of the Land-Steakhaus are especially nice in the summer to expand our convention space to the outside. Terrace spaces, a lot of greenery, and open views make stepping outside feel like part of the experience rather than just a break between activities. Seen from the glass-fronted event rooms and winter-garden area, they are ideal for fresh air, photos, conversations, and enjoying the sunny seasonal atmosphere with friends.

For a summer convention like Furvaria, they help give the whole location a light, open feeling for socializing and unwinding throughout the day. We will set up tents and prepare chill-out and quiet zones to get the best out of the outdoor areas. And if you want, bring your own tent to stay overnight at the convention campsite!

The Land-Steakhaus has plenty of nice and open outdoor space for us to offer onsite camping. The venue will provide all required infrastructure and offer breakfast sales for a pleasant camping experience. Which means: Grab your tent or motorhome, dust off your camping equipment, and enjoy the the warm summer nights together with your friends under the open sky.

Need a little break between all the excitement? Our Fursuit Lounge in the Stadelbar is here for exactly that. Tucked into one of the venue’s most cozy and characterful spaces, it offers fursuiters a welcoming place to cool down, rest up, and take a breather before heading back into the action. With its laid-back atmosphere and charming rustic look, it is the perfect retreat for relaxing, recharging, and sharing a few quiet moments with fellow suiters during the warm summer weekend at Furvaria.

The Food Corner at The Remise

For a quicker bite in between program points, the Food Corner in The Remise has you covered with a selection of street food classics and more regular, familiar meals. Whether you are craving something simple, hearty, or easy to grab before heading to the next event, this is a convenient option right in the middle of the action. It is perfect for keeping your energy up without missing too much of the convention fun.

At Furvaria 2026, it is almost opened non-stop, from breakfast until late night:

  • Breakfast Sales: 8:30 am to 11 am
  • Lunch: 12 pm to 2 pm
  • Afternoon Café: 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Steakhaus Restaurant

The Steakhaus Restaurant, separately located at front of the venue towards the main street, is a cozy, modern restaurant with room for around 70 guests. It is well known in the region for tender steaks, selected cuts, hearty regional dishes, and a warm atmosphere. If you’re looking for something special to add to your summer convention experience, the restaurant is the place to go.

Make sure to ask the Furvaria convention team ahead of time, since the premium meat is ordered fresh and the restaurant adjusts its stock according to the demand. We are happy to collect and forward your inquiries before the event as well as reserving a table for you.

Note the Dress Code at the restaurant: No Fursuits are allowed. Please be dressed appropriately in at least casual clothing. The restaurant will be open to guests of the general public during the convention.

International Airports

Marxheim is a quiet Bavarian town in the Donau-Ries region, right by the Danube and near the point where the Lech flows into the Danube, giving the area a relaxed countryside feel with open views and easy access to walking and cycling routes.

Bavaria is one of the federal states of Germany, bordering with Austria and Switzerland at the south and the Czech Republic to its east. Internationally, Bavaria is probably known for its yearly Oktoberfest in Munich.

While many international visitors may not know Marxheim yet, it sits within comfortable reach of larger reference points: Augsburg and Ingolstadt are about 40 minutes away by car, Munich (München) and Munich Airport are a little over an hour away, and Nuremberg (Nürnberg) is around 1 hour 20 minutes away. If you are travelling by public transport, Donauwörth is the most useful rail hub, with a direct bus connection onward to Marxheim.

It is the kind of location that feels pleasantly off the beaten path without feeling remote. A fitting setting for a convention with a little extra overworld energy.
