Found Items will be kept by the association for 14 days after announcement, provided there is a reasonable prospect of returning it successfully. However, the association is not obliged to store the item or incur expenses to preserve it and may dispose of or destroy the item at its own discretion if the ownership is not claimed within the stated period. Any costs associated with returning the item must be paid by the original owner.

If you have found an item during the event, please hand it over to a staff/crew member. Otherwise, you may proceed. Important: DO NOT send any items by post before we have responded to your report! We will provide instructions in a follow-up.

Found Item Handling: If my item is found after the event and/or I am unable to collect it in person within the stated storage period, I choose one of the following options: *

Return the item to the address provided below. A handling fee of 5 EUR incl. 19% VAT (storage, packaging, transport) plus shipping costs and any applicable customs duties, taxes, or other charges will be invoiced to me.

Relinquish ownership of the item. I authorize the organization to dispose of, donate, or sell the item at its sole discretion.

“Why do you charge for handling and shipping? Can you bring the item to Furmeet XYZ so I can collect it there, or hand it over to a friend of mine? Can you store it until the next convention?” We are sorry that you have lost a personal belonging. Unfortunately, due to the large number of found items we need to process, transporting items to other events is not logistically or organizationally feasible. Once the convention has ended, found items can only be returned by post. Due to storage space constraints, we cannot keep items until the next convention. Thank you for your understanding.
